My family & I just took an amazing 5 day Road Trip
and I thought I would share some of the resources
I found that were very helpful in planning our trip
and making it go smoothly!

Check out my Travel board on Pinterest!
I’ve pinned some sites that have some very helpful printable lists,
traveling tips & great iPhone/iPad apps for kids…
:: :: ::
Expedia is a website I use when I need to find a good deal on a hotel…
You can also search for car rentals, flights & vacation packages.
:: :: ::
Use this app to check the weather hourly, daily or by the week…
:: :: ::
Google Maps has saved me from getting lost more than once!
I use their website app to map out all of the destinations on my road trip and
I use their mobile app on my phone to get turn by turn directions…
:: :: ::
Waze ~ “Outsmarting Traffic Together”
Waze is a free GPS traffic & navigation app…
Not only can you get turn by turn directions to your destination,
but you can also get up-to-the-minute traffic updates!
:: :: ::
With Yelp you can search local restaurants, shopping & entertainment
including user reviews & recommendations…
Very helpful in finding restaurants!
:: :: ::
This is one of my favorite apps!
Not only can you transfer your gift cards & use your phone to pay for your coffee,
but you can locate Starbuck’s in any city & it even gives you directions!
I’ve used this app so many times!
:: :: ::
Flavortown ~ Diners, Drive-in’s & Dives Locator
If you like Guy Fieri from Diner’s, Drive-In’s & Dives,
you need this app!
:: :: ::
My family uses this app all of the time – at home & in the car…
Choose a style of music that you want to listen to
and Pandora will randomly choose the tunes…
:: :: ::
If you have kids and you want a good night’s sleep when you’re away from home,
you need this app!
You can choose from many different sounds to play:
Ocean waves, Thunderstorm & my favorite – Floor Fan…
:: :: ::
Car Stereo Cable for iPhone/iPod
Use this cable to connect your iPhone or iPod to your car stereo – genius!
:: :: ::
These are so great!
You can charge anything you can plug in…
Some types also have USB slots…
I used ours to power my laptop whose battery lasts less than an hour!
Also very helpful if you lose your car chargers for your phone or iPods!
:: :: ::
I hope that my traveling tips have been helpful to you all!
Stay tuned as I will be posting some of our road trip photos as well….
